bsherman's blogTriumphant returnMan is it ever wacky to throw yourself against a wall for a semester, only to emerge slightly damp and with a degree. Alright then. A few days turned into a few weeks. BUT, here is a slightly more polished build, delivered in a relaxed manner. Also, some screenshots that will show off the new environment especially well.
We are constantly lying to youThat last entry--the one where viewers of the page were promised some more content--was a lie. Instead of putting up new content, we have been hard at work on the actual game. There will be a new build to download in the next few days, and we will post content from that build soon thereafter.
New screenshotTo tantalize, here is a screenshot from the most recent build of the game. As you can see, we have dropped in rough versions of Bob Rafei's art. Expect more screenshots and a new demo movie in the coming days after we all recover :)
Sorry about thatIt won't happen again. The size of the Download has been reduced from yesterday's outrageous 480mb to about 80mb. Yes, Errantry is now slim enough to sell underwear.
New (huge) buildA new, very snazzy build was just put up. It is slick. Lots of issues were ironed out. Unfortunately we were under a deadline and the file is about 480mb up from our previous 45mb. This is because we have a ton of uncompressed audio included that we didn't have time to convert to something smaller. Expect a smaller build this weekend.
New build coming soonWe're gonna have a new build of Errantry up on the website in the coming days. Things to look forward to will be: everything is better than the last build! Also, we obviously care a great deal about storytelling in interactive media. A wonderful "Best Of" list for videogame stories hit Digg earlier. Here it be.
New contentJust added concept art to the media page. Pretty soon you'll see that artwork in the game. Working build added to the Download section. You'll need BlueSoleil and WiinRemote, or some equivalent of the the two, to play the game. FAQ was updated with most common technical problems when attempting to run Errantry.
